(Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Sadanori Iwamoto; TSE Standard Market: 3913) announced today that its subsidiary GreenBee Energy Corporation ("GreenBee Energy") has acquired a grid storage facility*1 "Honami High Voltage No.2 Storage Power Plant" from West Energy Solution Co. (Headquarters: Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Eiichiro Egashira; TSE Standard Market: 1407; hereinafter "West Group"), acquired a grid storage facility*1 "Bizen City Honami High Voltage No.2 Storage Power Plant" (hereinafter "said storage power plant") on February 27, 2026, from West Energy Solutions Co. Ltd. on February 27, 2026, and began receiving power.

Features of the energy storage facility

(1) Facility design considering flood damage prevention
In light of the risk of heavy rain and flooding in recent years, the storage facility has been designed to ensure stable operation even in the event of a disaster by raising the location of the main facilities and taking other flood damage countermeasures.

(2) Noise reduction measures in consideration of the surrounding environment
To reduce noise associated with the operation of the storage battery facility, a fence with soundproofing performance has been installed to minimize the impact on the surrounding residential environment.

(iii) Potential contribution to community support in the event of a disaster
In the event of a disaster, it is envisioned that the characteristics of the storage facility will be utilized to contribute to cooperative support for the local community, such as by contributing to the supply of electricity to neighboring areas.

2. current operation

GreenBee Energy will enter into an operation and maintenance agreement*2 with the Aggregator and outsource power trading in the wholesale power market, the supply and demand adjustment market, and the capacity market. GreenBee Energy will also enter into an O&M*3 (operation and maintenance) agreement with West Group to ensure the stable operation of the relevant energy storage facilities and to establish an appropriate maintenance management system.

4. future initiatives of this project

Through power trading in the wholesale power market, the supply-demand adjustment market, and the capacity market, we will maximize revenue opportunities and contribute to the stabilization of the power grid and the effective utilization of renewable energy. In addition, by utilizing the storage battery station, we will apply the EMS*4 cloud service that we have developed and marketed to the grid storage battery business.

*1 "Grid storage facility" refers to a facility that operates large-scale storage batteries connected to the power system (power network including power plants, transmission lines, substations, and distribution facilities).
*2 An "aggregator" is an entity that remotely controls storage battery facilities and optimizes their operation in multiple electricity markets. It maximizes the profitability of storage batteries and contributes to the stabilization of the power grid by performing optimal recharge/discharge control according to price trends and supply-demand conditions in each market, including the supply-demand adjustment market, capacity market, and wholesale electricity market (JEPX).
*3 "O&M" stands for operation (operation) and maintenance (maintenance), and we perform operation management and maintenance inspections to maintain the stable operation and asset value of storage battery facilities. In addition to daily operation monitoring, periodic inspections, and trouble-shooting, O&M analyzes the deterioration status of storage batteries and performs preventive maintenance to maintain the long-term performance of facilities and maximize their operating rates.
