Regarding an Issue Where Our Blu-ray/DVD Playback Software Fails to Play Back Content Properly After a Windows Update

We have confirmed that, after applying the preview update "KB5124010" for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2—which began rolling out on September 22, 2026—DVDs and Blu-ray discs may not play properly in some environments.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause to affected customers, but we kindly ask that you review the following steps and take the necessary action.

We will also post an update on this page as soon as the official correction is complete, so we appreciate your patience.

■Phenomenon
On some computers running Windows 11 that have had the preview update "KB5124010" installed, the following issue may occur. (The Windows OS version after applying the preview update will be "26200.9550.")

A black screen appears or the video does not display properly when playing DVDs or Blu-ray discs.

■How to Handle It
Please uninstall the latest updates from Windows Update using the method described below.

1. Open "Settings" in Windows, then select "Windows Update" > "Update History."
2. Scroll down on the "Update History" screen and select "Uninstall updates."
3. Select "Uninstall" to the right of the entry labeled "Microsoft Windows (KB5124010) Update."
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the program and restart your computer.
